Easy DIY Vitamin C Serum | Treats All Pigmentation, Scars, Wrinkles, Dark Spots & Blemishes

I wanted to share an easy, but very very effective vitamin C serum.  Incredible difference in my skin tone, it is also very very cost effective and Using vitamin C serum is one of the best ways to maintain a youthful skin. And it is especially useful for treating hyper pigmentation, wrinkles, sagging, skin, dullness and uneven skin tone

HOW THIS WORKS

The base for this vitamin C serum is fresh orange peel.Fresh orange peel is very rich in vitamin C and forms the base for the serum. You just need a peel of one small orange for making vitamin C serum that will last you a week.If you can get organic oranges, it will be very good. But if you can't get organic oranges then wash the peel well before using.

The next main ingredient in the serum is rose water. You can use either homemade rose water or steam distilled rose water that you get from the shops.I have tried both and found both to be very effective.

This serum is so wonderfully effective and is very cheap to make especially when you compare it to store-bought vitamin C serums. Also when it comes to vitamin C serums,I prefer making small batches, as they lose their potency very fast. And this recipe is perfect for making small batches.

METHOD

  • This serum also does not irritate the skin at all and the best part is, you just need only 3 ingredients for making it.
  • To make the vitamin C serum, take the peel of half a small orange.
  • Now add in two tablespoons of rosewater to grind the orange peel. Now take this in the mixer and grind to a paste.
  • Once ground, take it in a strainer and press with this spoon to extract the liquid completely.
  • Here I have used steam distilled rose water to grind the orange peel. But you can use homemade rose water too.
  • For me two tablespoons of rose water was enough for grinding the peel of half a small orange.
  • But you can increase the amount of rose water while grinding. If you feel the mixtures is too dry, press with a spoon again and again, to extract the liquid completely.
  • Now add in quarter teaspoon of vegetable glycerin to the mixture.
  • Mix well with the spoon till everything is combined well together.
  • Once combined well, take it in a glass bottle and store it immediately in the fridge.

TO USE

  • Before going to bed, wash your face to remove all makeup and dirt,This serum will get absorbed into the skin immediately.
  • You can leave it on overnight and wash it off the next day.
  • This serum can be used for both oily and dry skin.
  • But adjust the amount of vegetable glycerin accordingly.
  • I have dry skin and 1/4 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin was ideal for me.But if you have oily skin you can reduce it to 1/8 teaspoon.
  • There are few things you have to remember while making the serum.
  • Don't use imported waxed orange peels for the serum.I have used the local desi variety orange and I would highly recommend you do the same.

I hope you found this remedy useful, if you like this amazing vitamin C serum , please share this remedy with your family and friends , It'll mean a lot to me.
